Deal & Company founder Breylan Deal-Eriksen’s love affair with real estate started at 12 when his hardworking, single mom got the keys to their first home, and his passion for homeownership has never wavered. A licensed broker, he relishes every opportunity to step in and save the day — like the time he saved his clients $40,000 on a repair. Having lived in four of Portland’s six quadrants, Breylan has an expansive perspective on the city’s neighborhoods and micro-markets. Originally from the small town of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Breylan has been a Portlander since 2007 and lives by the adage, “Rose City ‘Til I Die.” He spends much of his free time lovingly restoring a 1929 English cottage he and his husband, Ben, own in Maywood Park. Breylan adores Corgis and British cars — he has two of each! — and enjoys gardening. He’s also been known to bring his neighborhood together by hiring a coffee cart (The Maywood Perk) or ice cream truck for the residents’ enjoyment.
